Checkers Industrial Products, LLC Acquires HBM Canada Manufacturing Inc
In December 2010, Harvey & Company initiated and invested in the acquisition of Checkers Industrial Safety Products. Harvey & Company proactively sought add-on acquisitions that could expand Checkers’ presence with new product offerings sold through existing channels. In July 2011, Harvey located Yellow Jacket, a leader in industrial cable management systems, and initiated its acquisition and integration into Checkers. In April 2012, Checkers also acquired HBM Canada Manufacturing Inc. Below is the press release following the transaction:

Broomfield, CO – Checkers Industrial Products, LLC today announced the acquisition of HBM Canada Manufacturing Inc., a global market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of safety products for the mining, oil & gas, and other industrial markets. “The HBM acquisition expands our breadth of niche safety products and further strengthens our position to compete globally in a variety of industrial markets” said President David Kasnic. The combined product offering and additional capabilities in engineering and design provide increased value for its combined customer base and enhances Checkers capabilities to accelerate product innovation and response time to its customers.
