HarveyCEO built a trusted relationship with a veterinary services industry veteran over several years that involved a collaborative approach to sharing deal and sponsor ideas. The executive built a relationship with the owner of PetMedic Hospitals, a best-in-class veterinary practice in the Las Vegas area, who was beginning to entertain their options for an exit event. HarveyCEO was able to learn about the characteristics of the opportunity and the goals of the operating executive to make a highly relevant introduction to a private equity investor that met the unique capital and strategic requirements. The introduction resulted in an executive-led buyout of PetMedic Hospitals, which allowed the entrepreneur to exit the business, as was their goal, and for the executive partner to step in as CEO. PetMedic Hospitals is positioned with the management team and capital to be the acquirer of choice in the mountain region.
