Nature’s Choice, rebranded to Compost360, is a vertically integrated processor of organic waste material including yard waste and pre-consumer food to produce sustainable compost and engineered soils for landscapers nationwide. Compost360 has several strategic compost sites allowing them to effectively service the densely populated northern New Jersey and New York City regions.

Through a proactive, thesis-driven effort led by seasoned waste executive, Steve Carn, Harvey & Company identified and engaged over 100 privately held companies in the composting industry. We discovered a significant opportunity in the marketplace for a growth & acquisition strategy enhanced by favorable government legislative and public sentiment around ESG waste initiatives.

Harvey & Company introduced the Nature’s Choice stakeholders to a private equity partner with significant operational expertise and ability to assist the team in achieving their growth goals. Steve Carn, who has extensive leadership and P&L experience in the waste industry, most significantly as the CFO of Advanced Disposal, will act as CEO. The Founder has maintained a significant ownership position in the business and will continue to advise on operations moving forward. Compost360 plans to execute an aggressive growth plan via organic initiatives and acquisitions. The new partnership provides the company with both the acquisition experience and access to capital needed to consolidate other organic waste services businesses across the U.S. Harvey & Company will continue to support the business’s growth moving forward by assisting with their add-on acquisition search strategy.
