In 2023, Harvey & Company initiated the majority recapitalization of Roaming Hunger by a Midwest-based private equity firm. Roaming Hunger is a software and services platform partnering with food trucks, catering companies, and mobile pop ups to provide foodservice solutions and experiential marketing activations to customers nationwide.

Roaming Hunger was formed in West Hollywood, CA to track the emerging movement of gourmet food trucks. Since 2009, the business has grown to become the leading platform for over 20,000 food trucks, trailers, carts, pop-ups, and caterers, connecting them with turnkey catering, concessions, and event opportunities in their local communities. When Harvey & Company initially connected with the founder in 2022, Roaming Hunger was on a path of strong growth. The founder had no capital constraints and had never received any outside funding or investments. However, the founder saw a tremendous opportunity to add  greater value to the food truck industry, and had a desire to execute on a more aggressive growth plan. Harvey & Company introduced the founder to a private equity firm with relevant investment experience in both foodservice & business services and a strong track record of partnering with family and founder-owned businesses.

Post-partnership, the founder has retained a significant equity stake in Roaming Hunger. The private equity partner is highly supportive of the founder and management team, and plans to add value by investing in software development, sales & marketing, business development, and operational infrastructure to drive transformational growth.
